How Popping Works
Set Up Teams
The instructor creates a course and adds students (by CSV upload or manual entry). Teams represent physical tables — students sit down and join that table's team in the app.
Group Discussion
Students see the week's questions and discuss them within their teams. Teammates give 👍 thumbs-up to acknowledge significant contributions.
Present and Challenge
Teams present solutions one at a time. The instructor picks a team and question, starts a timer, and the presenting team's name appears on everyone's screen.
Be a Challenger
During a presentation, students from other teams can 🙋 raise a hand to challenge the presenter with a follow-up question. The instructor selects challengers, and the remaining students rate each challenger's question on a 1–5 scale.
Peer Ratings
After each presentation, non-presenting students rate whether the solution was well-developed and clearly explained (1–5 stars). Students never see their own ratings — only the instructor sees results.
Export & Finish
At the end of class, the instructor downloads a ZIP with a full gradebook spreadsheet (team assignments, thumbs, ratings, challenge scores) and all question files.
